Adam Saunders is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter and producer based in South London. From a young age Adam showed musicality as he would try and sing along to every song on the radio in the back of cars and ended up picking up a guitar at the age of nine, shaping his first musical knowledge around Oasis and other indie outfits.
Adam may be a solo artist, but he channels the energy of all the best indie rock bands that came before him and his new single, ‘Darling’, certainly proves that. Adam began life in Surrey but moved to London as soon as he could in pursuit of a life in music. He is now known for his soaring vocals, huge guitars and songs that will pack out arenas.
Recorded and mixed at Lightship 95, a boat converted into a studio, alongside four other tracks, Darling was co-produced by Adam and his drummer, Ben Bradshaw, working together to create the anthemic opening single to Adams new sound. Darling, tracked on the third and final day of the recording stint, was recorded live as one take to try capture the energy it is known for in Adam’s live set.
'DARLING' ADAM'S LATEST SINGLE IS OUT NOW
"I’ve had this song for a while now but when I worked it through with the band, just over a year ago, I knew it was going to be one of the main singles of my next project. My sound has really been crafted over the past year and a bit and this record truly shows it off. I think it’s easy to get it right though when you’re lucky enough to work out of an incredible studio like Lightship 95. Ben [Bradshaw] and I work incredibly well together but that stuff comes naturally when you spend as much time with each other as we do. Our working relationship is great and we feel we have created something we’re really proud of."
